Care of the Wetsuit

Tri Geeks Multisport offers weekend wetsuit rentals for $40.00 per weekend, picking up Thursday or Friday and returning Tuesday.  Rentals are available to athletes who are able to come into the store and pick up their rental wetsuit. 

Want to try on one of our wetsuits?  Visit us at the store for a wetsuit fitting.  All athletes must arrive prepared with a swimsuit or trisuit to wear underneath a wetsuit during a fitting.  You will be given proper guidance on how to put on, remove and care for your wetsuit.  Please allow for one hour minimum to complete the wetsuit fitting.  Due to the time involved with a wetsuit fitting, fittings must be started at least one hour prior to our store closing.

Constructed with Zoot Sports BIOwrap Balance Technology, the Zenith WetZoot maximizes buoyancy without compromising mobility.

Designed and constructed from the inside out. Using our BIOwrap body-responsive construction principles, we created a suit with 2mm flexibility and 5mm flotation.

The traditional construction method of gluing and blind-stitching large panels of variable thicknesses of neoprene - commonly used for surfing wetsuits - results in a triathlon wetsuit that substitutes flexibility for buoyancy.

This technology pairs the flexibility of an all 2mm Yamamoto #39 neoprene exterior with strategically placed 3mm balance panels fused to the interior of the suit. The result is a wetsuit with a high performance fit, maximum range of motion and 5mm buoyancy.

INTERIOR:
  • Sculpted interior 3mm balance panels and 2mm exterior construction in the chest and back allow for maximum lung expansion, creating a more comfortable suit with maximum buoyancy.
  • Sculpted 3mm balance panels through the hamstrings, quadriceps and gluteals create 5mm of buoyancy to generate a streamline body position in the water and offer enhanced flexibility for kicking and running.
  • Smooth Super-Stretch Polyester interior paired with Yamamoto #39 neoprene through the side, shoulder and arms allow for increased flexibility and elongation. This next-to-skin layer is also non-absorbent to minimize weight.
  • Sculpted split-calf design allows for quick entry and exit out of the suit, in addition to increased flexibility for the run into transition.
EXTERIOR:
  • Specially designed low-rise collar comfortably seals out water and allows for full neck rotation and a snug comfortable fit.
  • 2mm Yamamoto #39 neoprene through the side, shoulder and arms allows for superior range of motion to maximize swim cadence and extension.
  • SCS Nano Hydrodynamic coating is the fastest in the world, providing the lowest drag coefficient of any wetsuit technology.
  • Reinforced hook n' loop neck closure maintains its strength when wet to ensure a snug fit.
  • Protected zipper seal minimizes water entry.
  • Hook-‘n'-Loop tether anchor secures zipper pull at the lower back.
  • Stretch cuff seals water out of sleeve to keeps arms light during swim and to ease removal of suit in transition.
  • Textured forearm catch panel increases efficiency by helping you "grab" more water per stroke.

Care of the Wetsuit
The Good Stuff
  1. Use caution and take your time putting on your WetZoot.
  2. Use Bodyglide around your neck if you are concerned about chafing.
  3. Rinse your WetZoot with cool, fresh water after each usage and make sure all salt and dirt has been washed out of the zipper. To clean your WetZoot, use specially formulated Wetsuit Shampoo.
  4. Hang your WetZoot inside-out to dry on a thick plastic, not wire, hanger.
  5. Store your WetZoot in a cool, dry place inside-out, lying flat, folded once across the waist.
  6. For travel:
    1. Lay your WetZoot flat, zipper side down.
    2. Fold legs up over the chest.
    3. Cross arms in an ‘X’ over the chest.
    4. Fold in half.
  7. While using this or any other Zoot Sports product, remember to have fun, go fast, and encourage your friends to do the same.

The Bad Stuff

  1. DON’T use petroleum jelly, cooking spray, tanning oil, or any kind of grease, oil, or solvents on your WetZoot. They will cause irreparable damage.
  2. DON’T use your WetZoot for any sport or recreation other than swimming.
  3. DON’T hang your WetZoot for more than a week. The thinner rubber in the shoulders will stretch and crack.
  4. DON’T expose your WetZoot to heat or direct sunlight.
  5. DON’T toss your WetZoot in washing machine or dryer.
  6. DON’T yank or pinch your WetZoot when putting it on. Fingernails, sharp objects, and friction are the enemies of neoprene.
  7. DON’T sit, kneel, or squat in your suit for more than 5 minutes. Zoot Sports neoprene is very flexible, but sitting and kneeling put extra stress on the seams and rubber.
  8. DON’T shorten or alter your WetZoot yourself.
  9. DON’T leave your WetZoot crumpled wet in a bag or car trunk.
  10. DON’T forget that your WetZoot is an expensive and technical piece of training and racing equipment.
